Terms of service

Last updated:

These terms apply when you buy and use a OneSim travel eSIM on onesim.travel. They explain what you get, what we expect from you and what happens if something goes wrong. By placing an order you agree to them, so please read them before you buy. Our refund policy and privacy policy form part of these terms. Questions? Write to us at support@onesim.travel.

1.Who we are

OneSim is a trade name of Freeman Digital, a business owned and operated by Yiftach Freeman, an Israeli licensed dealer (עוסק מורשה). Freeman Digital is the seller in every purchase made on this website ("we", "us").

  • Business name: Freeman Digital
  • Owner: Yiftach Freeman
  • Licensed dealer (עוסק מורשה) no.: 208551978
  • Address: Business Center, Efrat, Israel
  • Email: support@onesim.travel
  • Website: onesim.travel

You can also reach us through our contact form.

2.What we sell

A OneSim plan is a prepaid amount of mobile data for use abroad, delivered as an eSIM profile that you install on a compatible phone or other device. The eSIMs are supplied by our eSIM provider, Firsty (Firsty Technologies), which works with mobile networks in the destinations we cover. You buy from us, and we are your point of contact for support.

  • Data only. Plans include mobile data only: no phone number, no regular calls and no SMS. You can still call and message over data with apps such as WhatsApp or FaceTime.
  • Local and Global plans. A local plan works in the country it was bought for. The Global plan works in the countries listed on its product page. A plan does not work outside its coverage area.
  • Coverage depends on local networks. Your eSIM connects to one or more partner networks in each destination. Coverage, availability and technology (for example 4G or 5G) depend on those networks and can vary by location, indoors, in remote areas, at sea and in the air.
  • Speed is not guaranteed. Speeds of up to 100 Mbps are possible where the local network allows, but actual speed depends on the network, your device, signal strength and congestion.
  • One-time purchase. There is no subscription, and nothing renews automatically.

The plan details shown on the product page before you buy (destination, amount of data, validity and price) form part of your order.

3.Your device

To use our eSIMs you need a device that supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked (not locked to a single mobile operator). Please check this before you buy. Our compatible devices page explains how.

Some devices sold in certain countries, or by certain carriers, do not support eSIM even though the same model does elsewhere. Data roaming must be switched on for the eSIM line in your device settings for it to connect abroad.

If your device turns out not to be compatible, you can cancel within 14 days as long as the eSIM has not been installed, as explained in our refund policy.

4.Prices and payment

  • Charged in Israeli shekels. Every payment is charged in Israeli shekels (ILS). If you choose to view prices in US dollars or euros, those amounts are shown for convenience only, converted at our exchange rate. The amount in shekels shown on the payment page is the amount you are charged. Prices include VAT where it applies.
  • Bank fees. If your card is in another currency, your bank or card issuer may convert the charge and add its own fees. We do not set or receive these fees.
  • Secure payment by Sumit. Payments are processed by Sumit, an Israeli billing provider, on its secure hosted payment page. You can pay by credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bit, depending on what your device and bank support. Your card details are entered on Sumit's page and never reach our website: we never see or store them.
  • Confirmation and invoice. Your order is confirmed once the payment is approved. Sumit then emails you a tax invoice-receipt (חשבונית מס-קבלה) on our behalf.
  • Age. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to place an order.

We may cancel an order and refund it in full if we reasonably suspect fraud, if a plan was listed with an obvious pricing error, or if we cannot supply the plan.

5.Delivery and installation

Your eSIM is delivered digitally, straight after payment: on your order page and by email to the address you gave at checkout. You receive a QR code, a one-tap install link for supported devices and the manual installation codes (SM-DP+ address and activation code).

In rare cases issuing an eSIM can take longer. If that happens we'll email you as soon as it's ready, and if we cannot supply it we'll refund you in full.

  • Install the eSIM on one device only. Most eSIM profiles can be installed only once.
  • Keep your QR code and activation details private. Anyone who has them may be able to install your eSIM.
  • Do not delete the eSIM from your device while you still need it. A deleted eSIM usually cannot be reinstalled.
  • We recommend installing before you travel, while you have a stable Wi-Fi connection.

6.Validity

Each plan is valid for 30 days from first connection at your destination: the validity period starts when the eSIM first connects to a supported network there, not when you buy or install it. The plan ends when the 30 days are over or when all its data has been used, whichever comes first. Data left at the end of the validity period expires and is not refundable.

7.Top-ups

Where available, you can buy extra data for an eSIM you already have, from your order page or the My eSIMs page. A top-up is added to the same eSIM, so there is nothing to reinstall. Each top-up is a separate purchase covered by these terms; it is charged and invoiced like any other order, and its validity is shown before you buy it.

8.Fair and acceptable use

Our plans are intended for personal use by travellers on a phone, tablet or similar device. To keep the service working well for everyone, you agree not to:

  • use the eSIM for illegal activity, spam, or attacks on networks or services;
  • resell the eSIM or its data, or use it in SIM boxes, permanent routers or for machine-to-machine traffic, unless we agree to it in writing (for example under a business agreement);
  • use the service in a way that harms the networks of our eSIM provider or its partners, or other customers.

Local networks may manage traffic during busy periods. If we or our eSIM provider reasonably believe a plan is being used against these rules, the eSIM may be suspended.

9.Cancellation and refunds

In short: you can cancel within 14 days of purchase as long as the eSIM has not been installed or activated, and get a refund less a cancellation fee of 5% of the price or ₪100, whichever is lower. Once an eSIM has been installed or activated, it is a digital service already supplied and is not refundable, unless it fails because of us or our eSIM provider, in which case we'll replace it or refund you. The full details are in our refund policy.

10.Support

If your eSIM doesn't install or connect, contact us at support@onesim.travel with your order number and phone model. Our help centre covers the most common issues. We'll do our best to get you online, which may include asking you to check device settings or select a different network.

11.Limitation of liability

We supply the plan you bought with reasonable care and skill. Because the service relies on third-party mobile networks, we cannot promise that it will be available everywhere, at all times or at a particular speed.

To the extent the law allows:

  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost income or profit, or the cost of alternative connectivity (for example roaming charges from your home operator);
  • we are not liable for loss caused by network outages or coverage gaps, device incompatibility, settings on your device, the loss or deletion of the eSIM by you, or events beyond our reasonable control;
  • our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any right you have as a consumer under Israeli law, including the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

12.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we change the service or when the law changes. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. The date at the top of this page shows when the terms were last updated.

13.Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. The competent courts of the Jerusalem district have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. This does not affect any right you have under mandatory law to bring a claim in another competent court, such as a small claims court.
